Sometimes you just wish the world worked faster. With this quick tip I’ll give you a running start by letting you know a little secret – how to get your logos looking great in your documents without spending hours cutting them out with Photoshop. A lot of the time if you get hold of a logo from a small businees customer, they may supply it as a jpeg or some other less than print ready format and expect it to work well in a printed document. Well if you dont want the dreaded white backrgound showing up, or worse still a white fringe around the logo try this- change the blend mode for that object to “mulitply”. That way the white around the logo will vanish away and any dark areas will remain. Coloured areas will get mixed with the underlying layers however- so be warned this trick won’t be without its pitfalls, but it could well get you out of a hole.
